Visit our nice and talented neighbors Catarina and Lasse Hansson who manufacture the world’s most delicious mulled wine, jam and chocolate (at least according to Dalagård´s guests). Located just 3 km from Dalagård in the village Kolarbo. Nice farm shop in beautiful surroundings. Chokolate tasting can be arranged if you book early. Check opening hours before leaving.
The old Smelting works in Avesta
In the nearby market town of Avesta there are all kinds of shops as well as many sights such as a European bison park, the author and Nobelprize Laureate Karlfeldt´s Farm, the accordionist Carl Jularbo museum and the old Smelting works which are now an internationally featured art gallery.
Sala Silver Mine
A unique silver mine which is worth a visit, about 30 minutes south of our estate.
Lower Dalälvens Fisheries & National Park Our farm is located in the Lower Dalälven area, considered to be the country’s most complete fishing grounds. Apart from internationally renowned fishing in the river there are over 200 lakes in the neighborhood. In Gysinge there is a National Park, Nature Center and the Architectural center for original details for true to character conservation.
